Ready for Quiz #33?
I’m Glad!
.
Quiz Rules/Format
(Same as last year, feel free to skip to the quiz if you know the rules already)
Your Task: Name the mystery Artist, ideally with as few clues as possible.
Correctly guess the artist on the first clue? 500 points.
After scrolling down to the second clue? 400 points.
Still don’t know after the fifth clue? 0 points, but a crisp high-five for participating.
I’ll use google translate to put the correct answer at the bottom in Arabic (if you read Arabic, that’s fantastic, but no cheating by reading ahead!) and you can translate it back to the language of your choice to confirm your answer.
In the comments, please enter your POINTS earned (not the artist name) and I’ll keep track of the running totals in a spreadsheet.
In addition to eternal bragging rights, the winner at the end of the year may even get something as prestigious as a digital certificate.
Here goes!

If I’d needed the 300 clue, the answer would have been “James T Cheese Gromit Heart”. Luckily, less than one clue was needed. Thank you linespersons, thank you ballkids.
Perhaps that stage name would have been less than marketable, Bruce!
These days you can spin anything, Geoff!
400
Well played, Jimmy!
500 ice creams for crow.
Sure ‘Nuff ‘n Yes I Do think that’s a great score, Graham!
400 please
Nice work on the fish clue, Harrison!
Well these 500 points are safe as milk 🥛
No Replicas here, those 500 points are authentic, Steve!
400. I wasn’t sure of the album title (Fishmask Hockey?) But it was enough to get the artist.
I wonder if the album would have been as successful if he’d named it Fishmask Hockey, Zack!
300 for me.
Nice work, John!
100. I don’t know the name at all.
Next week’s will definitely be more familiar, D!
I knew the name but it wasn’t until the pics came that I figured it out. 400 grams of beef please to go!
Nice work on the Fleury clue, Deke!
I wouldn’t have known this at all if weren’t for the visual clue at 300.
I’m pleased you got the Shatner clue, JP!
Oh the joy of 500 points.
I’m Glad, Neil!
300 this week. Got it from the picture clues. Have heard of artist but don’t really know their work
I don’t think I’d be able to name too many of his individual tracks – definitely an ‘album’ artist!
400 for Mika, 300 for me.
Household average of 350, not too shabby!
500 magic band points please. I still have the 1969 album.
And what an album it is, TVTA – what a score this week too!
400. You earned bonus points for placing Kirk ahead of Picard.
I thought, why not start with the CanCon leader!
No points for me, but thanks for the quiz Geoff!
My pleasure, Lana!
300 this week
You are in good company there this week, Sarca!
500 I love this guy! There’s a great story of him selling vacuums door to door and saying to people “Ma’am, this really sucks.” Lol. Even if it isn’t fully true, it’s hilarious.
What a sales pitch!
Ha yeah, he wasn’t lying!
Zoiks! I just recently picked up a couple of his albums (was only familiar with the acclaimed experimental /avant-garde one until then!)… so, thanks to timing, I’ll take the full 500 points, please!
A well-timed pick up, J!
400
Nice work, Holen – to be added to next week’s spreadsheet!
