Quiz Rules/Format
(Same as last year, feel free to skip to the quiz if you know the rules already)
Your Task: Name the mystery Artist, ideally with as few clues as possible.
Correctly guess the artist on the first clue? 500 points.
After scrolling down to the second clue? 400 points.
Still don’t know after the fifth clue? 0 points, but a crisp high-five for participating.
I’ll use google translate to put the correct answer at the bottom in Arabic (if you read Arabic, that’s fantastic, but no cheating by reading ahead!) and you can translate it back to the language of your choice to confirm your answer.
In the comments, please enter your POINTS earned (not the artist name) and I’ll keep track of the running totals in a spreadsheet.
In addition to eternal bragging rights, the winner at the end of the year may even get something as prestigious as a digital certificate.
Here goes!

Always nice to be able to include Peter Gallagher in a visual clue!
Yes 500 at last again…
Good to be back, Neil!
500. I have never seen a CD copy of American Beauty.
I have it as part of the box set, Graham. 50th anni couple of weeks back!
I always saw Workingman’s Dead around, and never this one.
As luck would have it, our local library has a copy – that’s how I heard it a couple years ago!
400, due to Freaks And Geeks
A show I keep meaning to watch!
500 this week (though I especially appreciate the ice-cream-themed 300 clue)!
Cheers, Adela – and well done!
Yuk! 400 again please.
I love the artwork but they disappoint me so much! They should sound immense and cosmic, not like a C+W bar band!
If 400 is yucky, life is good, Joe!
500 for me as I actually knew one of the drummers names.
Well done, John – I like that double drummer format!
I am surprised more bands don’t do it. if you can have dual guitar, why not drums.
Fellow blogging pal Jeff Japp from Cali loves these guys. He has seen them so many times I guess he’s a Deadhead! lol So because of Mr Japps blog “I will get by with 500 points and I will survive!”
A Touch of perfection this week, Deke!
300 today. I knew the drummer’s name but couldn’t remember which band.
Nice work, D!
500, but I wish it was less. I really don’t like these guys.
Those are good weeks though, Zack – when you get a perfect score despite spending as little time as possible actually listening to the group!
Hear, hear! I’m with you Zack.
I’m gratefully well versed in this band’s history so I’m good for 500!
Your score remains Alive & well, Mike!
Thanks Geoff! I’ll tag Chris S and Jen on the ol’ FB and get them to play.
500. But it was your bonus hint at the beginning that tipped me off.
I”m pleased it helped, JP!
It did for sure. I think a friend of mine put that one track on a mixed tape for me once. Probably why it stuck out,
Not familiar with The Rhythm Devils unfortunately so 400 will have to suffice.
Still a sufficiently solid score, HMO!
Back in the 500 column!
Good to be back, Kevin!
500 please!
Splendid work, Sarca!
500 like a Doo Dah Man
Excellent work, Steve!
400 for Mika, 300 for me.
Not too shabby, Mika & James!
Yikes. As a drummer I hang my head in shame. 300 points – thanks goodness for ice cream 🙂
Thank goodness indeed, TVTA!
300 please
good work, Harrison!
400 this time.
Nice work on the film clue!
