Thank you all for participating, I’ve really enjoyed putting these together!
Thanks for running it! I was looking at last year’s final post, and it looks like it was maybe a little easier this year – Aaron only left 700 points on the table all year, and I improved by 2,500 points, but came third in both years.
I’m okay with it being easier. My aging brain can only handle so much.
My thanks – and Congrats on the back-to-back Bronze medals!
I have yet to meet any from the blog community in person but did hear of gatherings for the LAMB(Large Organization of Movie Blogs) in both US and UK, as well as a get-together for the UK music blog community. Enjoyed participating in your quiz this year and maybe we’ll meet at some point!
Cheers Chris – and I hope so!
*I meant LAMB(Large Association of Movie Blogs)
Well done Geoff. It’s a classic ritual by now.
As for next year, I’m changing my name to Antonio in the hope of a podium finish. (Though I’m more than happy to tie for fifth).
You’re in excellent company in the Top 5, Antonio!
Congrats to Mr Books and to yourself for running this fun contest every Sunday!
I need to go
To bed now !🤘👍😜👌
Actually a Top 20 Finish which I’m happy about. Hell I will take a Top 20 placing when my solo album comes out in 2030!
Sign me up for the debut album pre-order Deke!
HAHA…Knew I could count on ya!
Much appreciated Deke – we’ll see if anyone can catch Mr. Books in 2019!
We shall see…..
Thank you for this Geoff. Well played yourself.
My thanks Joe!
Additional statistic (sort of): top 3 names all begin with ‘A’ (albeit one is a non-human name). I hope to join them someday. Maybe an additional 500 for year-long enthusiasm?
Thanks for hosting this quiz, Geoff. It is honestly the one thing that makes me keep coming back to WordPress on a weekly basis!
You’ve got the right first letter of your name Amrita, that’s a good start based on this year’s results!
Much appreciated, hope you have a nice rest of 2018!
My middle name is Andrew, which kind of counts.
I’m sure it helped with your quiz performance!
Yes it does!
Thanks Geoff! It has become my Sunday morning ritual these last 2 years. Hope to see more in the future.
My thanks John – round 3 will begin in January!
A blast to play every week, once again! 2019 will be the year I surpass Sarca in the standings…
We’ll see…
My thanks Kevin – she’s a worthy adversary!
Making my guess on this quiz has become part of my Sunday morning wake up ritual as well. Cheers Geoff!
Cheers JP – to modify a Morrissey tune, every (quiz) day is like Sunday!
Thanks for this it has been fun and as others have said something of a ritual on Sunday morning.
My thanks Neil – it’s been a fun Sunday ritual for me!
A winner is me! All your base are belong to us! Congrats to all the contestants, and to you on running another year of a fine contest series! Also I, for one, love the obligatory graphs/unnecessarily detailed statistical analysis.
Congratulations Aaron!
And much appreciated, the word ‘unnecessary’ in the same sentence as ‘detailed statistical analysis’ does feel like a bit of an oxymoron in my books!
Thanks for the quizzes this year!! This has for me too been a Sunday ritual that I’ve looked forward to every week (even if no podium finish this year haha)! Will they be continuing next year?
Oh and merry Christmas/happy New Year!!! 🙂
thank you for playing!
And absolutely – the quizzes will start again in January (Sarca has made another outstanding logo!), I’m looking forward to it.
Merry Christmas & Happy 2019 to you too!
