Hello again everyone!220px-bon_jovi_slippery_when_wet

After a month-long break, to kick off the second half of the 1001albumsin10years project, it’s time for the second side of Slippery When Wet.

And since it’s been far too long since the last Top 5, a proper Top 5 to mark the occasion!

A tip of the hat (or Jose Bautista-esque flip of the bat hat?) to Sarca @ caughtmegaming for all of her spectacular graphics throughout the around the world series this year. So many gems, so very much appreciated!

  1. Congrats on reaching the second half of the 1001albumsin10years project!

  2. Welcome to side two!

After reading part one I thought ” I kinda know this album”, but realise now that I don’t. I know the singles, but don’t think I know anything from the second side!

    • Side one definitely felt like a greatest hits! And thanks J for your participation – hope you’ve been having a nice holiday with the family!

      • It’s been a fairly peaceful time, Geoff. Well, aside from noisy toys. Hope the holiday has been treating you and the family well!

  3. A lot of times you will find those as I call them ‘Hidden Gems’. When I saw the New Jersey back in 1989 after the opening track ‘Lay Your Hands On Me’ Jovi and crew went right into ‘I’d Die For You’ which was a solid move as i agree with you as it’s my side 2 fav as well…..
Nice way to start Side 2 of 1001 Albums!

    • I would have enjoyed seeing that New Jersey tour – or the Keep The Faith tour would have been a great one too!

      • Yep it was downhill from a creative point after KTF!

  4. oooh, I like a good metaphor
    they sure planned ahead!

  5. Good luck for Side Two! And again, I am so glad to be a fan of the critic here, because he has no shame in admitting to liking Bryan Adams!

    Happy New Year, Geoff!

    • Haha, I’ll proudly fly the Bryan Adams flag any day, cheers Amrita!

      • Ah yes, he is Canadian, isn’t he? He’s performed several times here, and is really big here (like Bon Jovi and George Michael). I have a greatest hits album of his, played it quite a lot years ago.

  6. I’m with J. on this one – I know the singles, but not the second half of the album…

    Also, Sarca rocks. Yes!
