More like 563 Albums in 6 years!
Well, that’s 4 fiscal years in the books (I started the project on December 1st, 2011).
With 438 albums down, I’m still 38 albums ahead of the 100/year pace.
To borrow a Bryan Adams Greatest Hits compilation/Thornley tune name, So Far So Good!
The progress thus far:
# of albums | Completed so far | Completed % |
23 | 17 | 73.9% |
151 | 60 | 39.7% |
279 | 102 | 36.6% |
210 | 83 | 39.5% |
239 | 117 | 49.0% |
99 | 59 | 59.6% |
1001 | 438 | 43.8% |

My vision for year 5?
Time to see the world!
The goal is to spend a 12 months in 12 different countries, with plenty of Top 5s along the way.
Thank you all for being a part of this journey!
Our pleasure! Congrats on the anniversary!
Many thanks JP!
Wow, you’re setting a blinding pace!
Hopefully a sustainable pace!
Congrats dude! I like how you come up with different angles on reviews! Real cool stuff….keep it going!
Many thanks Deke – and likewise, keep up the fine yammering!
WOW — a yearlong project! That’s ambitious but you’re gonna kill it. I’m sure the next year in the life of the 1001 will be onwards and upwards as always!
You’re making good time, too!
Many thanks Mike – I’m hoping to at least hit album #501 this year, so I can quote Jon Bon & Livin’ on a Prayer!
It’s good to have life goals, it really is. I dunno if “being able to quote Bon Jovi” oughta be high on the priority list… 🙂
Fortunately it’s not the only motivation to keep going!
Hah! Perfect. Looking forward to that point.
Congrats on this milestone Geoff! You’re really rocking this project. Also: you are the King Of Stats. All the best for the next year!
Much appreciated Aaron – King of Stats, I like it!
UPDATED: King Of Stats And Charts.
I like that coffee mug inscription even more!
Excellent stuff, Geoff. Remarkable pace you’re setting, too!
Many thanks J – though listening to all the music has been enjoyable, the community’s made the experience what it is!
From my own experience of blogging I’d agree with that completely!
Congratulations! This is one of the first blogs I followed when I started blogging (cause…music!) and I’ve enjoyed your posts immensely and look forward to the rest of your journey!
The kind words are very much appreciated sourgirl, and ditto to all of the above with your poems!
